Carolina Barbarić (a final year student at the Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Professor Matko Vekić) develops a specific artistic language in which she integrates a clear contour into areas of color through the background, means of transportation and the human figure in full height or in an enlarged part of the body. The characters are stopped in a moment such as fishing on a boat, resting on a chair or posing with a hat, and the lines of their bodies and their belongings subtly guide the observer through different planes and segments of the painting.
