About the workshop

The silk dyeing workshop, using natural pigments derived from native and exotic plants, is designed for adults.

Each participant will receive a silk scarf to dye using plant-based pigments extracted from the bark, flowers and roots of local plants, as well as exotic plants from Indonesia.

Participants will learn how to prepare silk for dyeing, apply natural pigments, and properly fix the colours to ensure lasting results. Through hands-on practice, they will explore the silk dyeing process and the creative possibilities offered by natural pigments.

At the end of the workshop, each participant will take home their own unique creation – a one-of-a-kind silk scarf dyed with nature.

Silk and plant pigments are provided.
