The work emerged from a subtle act of imagination, where the imagined and the lived intertwine. It was painted without the use of a reference image, allowing Carolina to search for familiar yet faded memories and emotions.

Through vibrant, luminous colours layered from the very first brushstroke to the final one, Carolina sought to restore these memories in their full intensity. The resulting network of colour fields invites the viewer into the painting’s deeper layers. In this process, Carolina devoted herself to the moments she remembers, all infused with a sun-scorched palette embodied in carefree figures.
