Traces of Wind, 70x70cm, Nina Bekeniova

The “Traces of the Wind” series explores the invisible movement of air, made visible only through its traces in the landscape. Rather than depicting the wind itself, the works capture its fleeting and subtle imprints on the surface of the sea, the sand, and the shoreline.

The series consists of two paintings that portray the same motif from different perspectives. One focuses on the sea and the movement of the water’s surface, while the other turns to the shoreline, revealing the delicate marks the wind leaves behind. Together, the works invite the viewer to observe the quiet dialogue between natural forces and the landscape, drawing attention to moments that are often overlooked yet constantly shape the world around us.
