"July" is a painting born from Carolina's reflections on a scorching summer morning and the atmosphere of her hometown. Beginning with a photographic reference used solely as a compositional foundation, Carolina constructs the work through a layered interplay of colour, dominated by luminous shades of yellow that weave through the composition like a thread, uniting every plane of the painting while evoking the warmth of the air and a sense of weightless atmosphere.

For Carolina, July is not a literal depiction of a scene but a transformation of memory and imagination. Within its layers of colour, the spirit of the everyday—those seemingly ordinary moments—takes on a poetic, almost transcendent quality through her painting process.
