"About September" emerged from Carolina's desire to revive faded memories and emotions, restoring them in their full intensity. Painted without the use of a reference image, the work is guided entirely by imagination, creating a scene that evokes personal moments associated with the colours of September. At its centre is a rich crimson red—a reference to the fully ripened pomegranate—which becomes a symbol of abundance, fulfilment, and maturity.

The painting's atmosphere carries a strong symbolic resonance. Just as the figure holds a basket overflowing with fruit, the colour itself conveys a sense of generosity and abundance to the viewer. Warm shades of red and pink evoke the final breaths of the summer sun, reflecting across the composition and enveloping the work in a feeling of ripeness, richness, and the gentle close of the season.

For Carolina, About September marks the beginning of the series and is the work that took the longest to complete.
