Red, Dante Luka Žanetić

“The darkness of the mind while moving through pain or discomfort.”

This was the beginning.

Red carries a dual meaning: vitality and wound, passion and blood, love and violence. Through this work, the artist sought to capture the cognitive eclipse that pain creates—the way it narrows the entire world to the source of suffering.

This is where it all began, in 2019, in a confrontation with the self before there was a language for anything more complex. In many ways, everything that followed grew out of this work.
