STORY BEHIND THE ARTWORK
The Garden at Night presents a composition of abstract forms interacting with one another, creating a dynamic and almost imaginary landscape. Some of the shapes appear geometric and clearly defined, while others take on more organic and fluid qualities, creating a contrast between structure and spontaneity. Their interaction evokes the diverse plant and animal forms one might imagine encountering in a garden after nightfall.
The garden at night becomes a space of imagination, play, and discovery. Familiar elements of the everyday world are transformed into something mysterious and almost otherworldly, much like the way a child might perceive the world without predetermined rules or boundaries. In this sense, The Garden at Night carries a strong association with childhood - with play, curiosity, and the ability to find magic in seemingly ordinary things.
The work invites the viewer to move beyond a literal reading of its forms and instead surrender to their own associations, much like the experience of discovering unexpected shapes and stories within a familiar space.
