As with many other works from this series, the inspiration comes from pop culture (the title is taken from the theme song of “Faster, Pussycat!”, the iconic film by B-movie director Russ Meyer).

The drawing depicts an imagined street scene set in the early 1960s, with the main character portrayed as a female member of a gang.
