Mia Markušić (a final year student at the Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Professor Matko Vekić) has already distinguished herself on the art scene with her rich colour that further emphasises her expressiveness. An artistic vocabulary based on a combination of visible brushstrokes and traces of paint dripping. The painter currently expresses herself through figurative painting, but she also enjoys experimenting in the medium of sculpture with themes that are an extension of those in her paintings: scenes from everyday life, memories of childhood through play and togetherness, details from the environment.
