"Eternal Love" is an experimental work made on a wooden surface, depicting two figures facing each other back to back – a scene inspired by a real event that Mija witnessed. By intuitively arranging the boards, a two-dimensional representation is created that goes beyond the boundaries of the painting, thus formally connecting painting and object. The central element - a moving wooden board as a symbol of the island - refers to the energetic relationship between the figures, while the title of the work suggests the universal and silent presence of love that does not require additional explanation.
