Artist Jessica Gobert's "Sunshine" explores the relationship between light, shadow, and architectural form through the play of negative space. Inspired by the historic architecture of New Orleans, particularly the Queen Anne and East Lake styles, Gobert creates a delicate black and white composition in which contrasts and shadows evoke the intensity of the summer sun. Using a restrained palette, she highlights the rhythm and beauty of everyday details.
