The sculpture, made of polyurethane foam, depicts two characters on a Vespa in a humorous, almost caricatured interpretation. Inspired by summer vacations on the island, where the scooter becomes an everyday means of transportation, the sculpture simultaneously celebrates simplicity, freedom of movement and the closeness of two people. Through minimal colorism and rounded, cheerful forms, the work conveys a sense of lightness, togetherness and summer carefreeness.
