61. Kontura's winter auction
In Zagreb's Demeter-Corvin Palace at Radićeva 24, the Winter Auction of the Kontura Auction House will be held on Saturday, December 7 this year, the 61st in a row, with a series of works of modern and contemporary Croatian art, from prominent doyens of Croatian modern painting, through their no less interesting drawings, prints and sculptures. The auction starts at 6 p.m. , and the pre-auction exhibitions last the whole week, every weekday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., including Saturday, December 7 .
Among the offered works, two watercolors by Slava Raškaj from the end of the 19th century stand out, the oil " Portrait of a Girl with a Big Bow " by Josip Račić from 1904/05. - whose proven works we rarely see on our art market.

Other works worth mentioning are: two watercolors by Ljuba Babić from his so-called the Spanish phase around 1920; the painting "Chioggia - Vena Canal" (1915-1920) by Emanuel Vidović , the oil "Sea" by Mencije Clement Crnčić , a magnificent, luxurious maritime composition of a larger format, created between 1919 and 1924.

Furthermore, a portrait of Maršal Tito, an excellent portraitist by Artur Oskar Alexander from 1948; two works by Josip Vaništa : almost neo-baroque, 'Stančić's', mystical " Still life on the table " (circa 1954), and a watercolor of the Venetian lagoon.

The surprise on offer is certainly an atypical, early work by Đura Seder from the phase when he began to return to color and gesture, " Figure in the interior " (1975), but also Marino Tartaglia's painting " Figure II-A " from the sixties of the 20th century . Two still lifes by the painter Nikola Reiser from the second half of the 1960s, due to the analytical approach of the artist, also stand out from his characteristic production, as well as the oil painting " Zrinjevac ", by the recently deceased doyen of painting Munir Vejzović .
The winter auction will also present works by Branko Šenoa, Bela Čikoš Sesija, Mirko Uzorinac, Jose Bužan, Bogumil Cara, Cate Dujšin Ribar, Vjekoslav Parać, Sergi Glumac, Rudolf Ernst Marčić, Joza Kljaković, Miron Makanc, Iva Kalina, Zlatka Price, Đura Pulitika , Dubravke Babić, Cvijete Job, Nives Kavurić Kurtović, Nikole Koydla, Mersada Berber, Antun Boris Švaljek, Ivica Šišek, Dafna Perković, Srećko Planinić, Vjekoslav Brešić, Davorin Radić, Vlado Jakelić, Mladen Veža, Josip Škerlj, Lovro Artuković, Damir Sokić and Ivan Kožarić.
