My Shoe presents a series of interwoven abstract forms that evoke different characters, constructions, and objects inspired by toys, plant- and animal-like figures, and the imaginative world of childhood. The work draws inspiration from picture books and animated films - worlds where real and imaginary elements freely merge and transform.

The forms emerge spontaneously, almost like subconscious images surfacing during the act of painting. Disconnected elements and contrasting colours come together to create a kind of visual play, without the need for a clear narrative connection. This freedom is central to the character of the work, allowing the viewer to discover their own characters, objects, and stories within the abstract forms.

My Shoe feels like a fragment of a child’s world, where logic is not predetermined and ordinary objects and shapes can take on entirely new identities.
