This Friday, October 17, Zagreb once again becomes the center of art – the eleventh Gallery Rally, a favorite art walk, is taking place, bringing an interesting digital innovation this year. From 5 PM to 10 PM, visitors will be able to explore 13 Zagreb galleries, create their own art collages, and enjoy new exhibitions, guided tours, and a music program.
Art in motion – 13 galleries, 1 evening
This year's Gallery Rally once again brings together a rich gallery program at well-known addresses: Šira Gallery, Kranjčar Gallery, Kolekcionart, Fotoklub Zagreb, Ulupuh Gallery, Planet, Permanenta Gallery, SC Gallery, Trotoar Gallery, MUO Gallery, VN Gallery, Zen Contemporary Art Gallery, and Karas Gallery.
The audience can expect extended gallery opening hours, guided tours, openings of new exhibitions, and – for the first time – an interactive digital tool that allows visitors to participate in the creation of art.
New digital tool: "Interactive Creation"
In addition to printed maps, visitors can now use a web application. The application allows digital marking of visited galleries and the creation of one's own digital collage of impressions.
It works simply: in each gallery, a visitor can scan a QR code, mark their visit, and add a photo of what inspired them most. At the end of the evening, the application automatically creates a personalized digital collage of all those moments – an artistic souvenir that can be saved or shared on social media.
Curatorial tour - guided art
A novelty of this year's edition is also the curatorial guided tour which starts at 6 PM at the Šira Gallery (Preradovićeva Street). The route leads through Fotoklub Zagreb (Ilica 29/III), Planet (Ilica 37) and ends at Trotoar Gallery (Mesnička).
Participants will have the opportunity to explore exhibitions with expert guidance, discuss art, and at the same time use a digital tool to create their own collage. Prior registration via e-mail is required for participation: relipogalerijama@gmail.com.
Final program at Karas Gallery
The program concludes at Karas Gallery, where from 9:45 PM to 10:30 PM an atmospheric DJ set by Ukrainian musician and artist Aircraft (Danyil Merkulov), author of one of the exhibitions, will be held. The music program lasts until 11 PM, with diploma awards and socializing in a relaxed atmosphere.
Gallery Rally - art that connects
The Gallery Rally, in its eleventh edition, confirms its status as one of the most vibrant cultural events of the autumn, connecting art, technology, and community in a unique way.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Pula, the Zagreb Tourist Board, and Urbanka - Erste Bank, with Journal as a media sponsor.
