The project „Pay and Carry“, realized in cooperation with the Croatian Art Fair - Art Zagreb and the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, announces the fourth edition of the sales exhibition of students and young artists – ALU Zagreb alumni. The exhibition will be held in the Bačva Gallery of Meštrović Pavilion from December 12 to 15, 2024.

MIA MARKUŠIĆ
This exhibition aims to provide new opportunities for students and young artists, enabling them invaluable experience of presenting and selling their works to a wider audience, and motivating them for further development of artistic creation. Considering the lack of sales intermediaries and galleries focusing on young artists, the project allows ALU Zagreb students and their alumni colleagues to present their works to the market.

ENA ANTUNOVIĆ
The initiative was created in response to the success of the traditional Cash & Carry exhibition, which has been held for eighteen years at the Teaching Department of ALU Zagreb, as well as the previous three editions of the pilot project "Pay and Carry" (2018, 2019, and 2022). The sales exhibition not only encourages young artists, but also enables citizens to purchase contemporary artworks by emerging authors, with the opportunity for direct communication with them, which can result in more lasting connections.

KARLO FINTIĆ
For this year's pre-Christmas edition, students in their final years of the Painting, Sculpture, Graphics, and Teaching Departments of ALU, as well as alumni who graduated in the academic year 2023/2024, have been invited. A total of 33 exhibitors will present their works in the media of drawing, painting, sculpture, and graphics.

MARTA DIJAK
During the exhibition, visitors will be able to purchase artworks on the spot according to the "pay and carry" principle, at favorable prices, and be assured that the work has passed the selection of the oldest Croatian art academy, ALU Zagreb. This project thus represents a platform for the sale of young artists, enabling their further professional development and providing the public with insight into the work of upcoming artistic names, thereby enriching the cultural scene of Zagreb.
